Yes please. We will be using one. However if you don't own one that's fine too.

Watercolor supply list

Everyone is different in what works for them. If you already have supplies or paints feel free to use them.

No need to buy the whole list you can always pick up items as you see them in use.

Good paper and decent brushes will get you going in the right direction. Use what you have.

I made suggestions to get you started with good materials which can help avoid early frustrations that

come with watercolor painting.

Suggested supplies:

Substrate: You may work on watercolor paper (140lb cold press, 100% cotton paper)

Paints:

Colors - I like a warm and a cool of the primaries (red, blue & yellow) plus white to start.

• Ultramarine Blue, Pthalo Blue

• Yellow ochre, Cadmium yellow pale or Lemon Yellow

• Cadmium red or Pyrrole Scarlet, Alizarin crimson

Neutral Tint - bare minimum set: cobalt blue, alizarin crimson, yellow ochre and lemon yellow

Brushes:

Mainly round watercolor brushes in a few sizes and a larger wash brush.

Rosemary & Co. (England) are my favorite brushes, but Michael’s watercolor brushes are fine. Sizes 6,

8, 10,12, a liner or rigger and also a 1/4 - 1/2” flat brush is handy.

Other:

Palette or plate for mixing colors with several large wells. Porcelain works great and cleans up better

than plastic. (Amazon fabout $10), container for water (2) 16oz or more, paper towels, blue painters tape.

Cardboard or board to support your paper. Coroplast works great (like corrugated carboard but made

of plastic. (22x30 sheet at Michael’s about $6), pencil, eraser
